Saved Views FAQ & troubleshooting
Common questions about shaping, saving, and sharing views. For the full picture, see Saved Views; for the step-by-step, see the Build and save a view playbook.
Who can see my views?
It depends on the tier. Personal views show up only in your own switcher (though a same-org teammate you send the link to can open one read-only). Workspace views are shared with everyone in your organization. You pick the tier with the Visibility radio when you save. See Who can see a view for the full breakdown.
Can I change a view's visibility after saving?
No. The tier is set once, at save time. To move a view to another tier, duplicate it (or use Save as new view), pick the new tier, and delete the original.
Can I copy a teammate's view?
Yes. Open the view, then use Duplicate in the view's menu (the kebab next to the title). Duplicate works on any view you can open, including Workspace views and Offload's starter templates.
Why can't I delete this view?
The built-in default views (like "All loads") ship with the product and can't be deleted. Duplicate one instead and shape your copy however you want. For a teammate's Workspace view, deletion follows the same creator-or-manage rule as editing.
How do I share a view with a teammate?
Send them the link. Switch to the view, copy the page URL from your address bar (it carries the view as a ?view=<id> parameter), and paste it to them. They open it read-only: they can use it, but they can't overwrite your saved view unless it's theirs. To share a view with the whole team instead, save it as a Workspace view (if you're allowed to author org-shared views).
What happens if Saved Views isn't enabled for my org?
Your list pages still work, just without saving. Projects and Loads keep quick filter, sort, and search, but those reset when you leave the page. There's no save button and no view switcher, the Views page isn't available, and the "Views" item is hidden from the left navigation. To turn it on, contact support@letsoffload.com.
Do my filters export to CSV?
Yes. Export honors the active view, so the CSV has the same filtered rows and the same columns you see on screen. Shape the view the way you want the export to look, then export.
Why don't my changes stick when I come back?
Because they weren't saved yet. When you change filters, sort, grouping, or columns, Offload shows an "Unsaved changes" state (an amber pill and a dirty-state bar). Your edits live only until you save them. Use Save view to update the current view, or Save as new view to keep them as a new one. If you leave without saving, the view snaps back to its saved shape.
Can I save changes to a Workspace view someone else made?
Only if you're allowed to. Workspace views follow a creator-or-manage rule: the person who created the view can edit it, and so can anyone who holds manage on saved views (usually an admin). If it's not yours to edit, use Save as new view to make your own copy.
What do the check mark and the orange dot mean in the switcher?
The check mark shows which view you're currently looking at. The orange dot means that view has unsaved changes waiting on it. Save or discard those changes to clear the dot.
