Assigning resources

Assign the drivers, trucks, trailers, and equipment that do the work. This page covers the Resources rail, filling crew slots, assigning to loads, and how Offload handles conflicts.

The Resources rail

The Resources rail is the panel on the left of the board. Filter it with the segmented control across the top: All / People / Trucks / Trailers / Equipment. You can also search by name or unit number and filter by status.

Each resource shows a status for the dates you are working:

• Available is ready to assign.
• Dispatched is assigned to a load but not yet moving.
• In Transit is on the road with a load.
• On Site is at the job site.
• Unavailable is blocked, for example by PTO or maintenance.
• Inactive and Terminated are off the active roster.
• With site work enabled, Committed and Available (On-site) show on-site presence: committed to a phase, or on site with capacity.

Fill a crew slot

Site work cards arrive with typed crew slots created from the phase's requirements (for example, a Rigger slot with a truck sub-slot).

   Find the right person

   Filter the rail to People. The slot's requirement badge tells you what type it needs.

   Drag the person onto the slot

   Drop to assign. If they have a default truck on file and the slot has no truck, the truck is assigned at the same time.

   Add trucks and equipment

   Drag a truck onto the crew card; drag trailers and equipment onto loads or commodities.

Requirements stay linked

A site work card stays linked to its phase's requirements, shown by a link icon on the card. Requirement edits on the job propagate to linked dates (behind an impact confirmation), extra people are added outside the requirements, and a date can be unlinked to customize it. Assign a driver to a regular crew

Drag a driver from the rail onto a crew or job card, or click the person icon on a crew card and pick from the list. If the crew has no truck yet and the driver has a default truck on file, Offload assigns that truck at the same time.

Trucks, trailers, and equipment

Trucks go on crew cards. Trailers and equipment go on loads or commodities: drag one onto a load card, or use the load card's assignment control. When a load has multiple commodities, each commodity can carry its own trailer or equipment.

Remove an assignment

Click the x on the resource tag on a crew or load card, then confirm. To clear every crew on a job card at once, open the card menu and choose "Unassign All Crew".

Conflicts

Offload prevents double-booking: the same truck can't go on two setups of one load, and a driver or truck can appear only once per job per day.
