Scheduling

Schedule jobs, loads, and site work onto dates by dragging cards around the board. This page covers finding work in the Job Details panel, scheduling it, moving it, and copying a scheduled day.

Find the work in the Job Details panel

  1. 1

    Open the Job Details panel

It's on the right side of the board (toggle it with the Job Details button).
  2. 2

    Search for the job

Use the search box ("Search by job, customer, description...") to pull it up.
  3. 3

    Pick a tab

The job opens with two tabs: Site work (its phases) and Loads. Both are draggable onto the board.

Schedule site work

If your organization uses site work, each phase in the panel shows its target dates, how many days are scheduled so far, and its crew fulfillment (such as 0/3 crew).

  1. 1

Grab the phase by its drag handle

The grip icon on the phase card ("Drag onto a board date to schedule").
  2. 2

    Drop it on a date

A card appears on that date with crew slots pre-created from the phase's requirements: one typed slot per required person, ready to fill.
  3. 3

    Repeat for each working day

Each day of the phase gets its own card, so a 10-day phase is 10 scheduled dates. Use copy (below) instead of dragging 10 times.
In beta

Site work scheduling is still in development and available for beta testing. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Copy a scheduled day

Once one date of a phase is set up, copy it across the rest of the window.

  1. 1

    Open the card's menu

On the scheduled card, choose "Copy Project Card".
  2. 2

    Choose what to copy

Crew requirements, assigned people, crew notes, and card notes, all on by default.
  3. 3

    Pick the date range

Choose the dates to copy onto. The source date is skipped automatically.
  4. 4

    Copy

The card lands on every date in the range. Copies never carry "already notified" marks, so publishing later notifies everyone fresh.

Schedule loads

  • Drag a load from the panel's Loads tab onto a date row.
  • Reschedule by dragging a load card to a new date row. The load keeps its resource assignments.
  • Drop a load on a crew card and two things happen: the load moves to that date, and the crew's driver and truck are applied to the load's dispatch. Anything else on the load is left alone.
  • Add brand-new loads from a date: open the date row's menu and choose "Add New Projects/Loads". That opens the Add loads drawer with the date pre-filled; see Creating a load.
Heads upIf the assigned driver or truck has a conflict on the new date, you'll see a warning. Resolve it before you rely on the schedule.

Move and reorder

  • Move a whole job card from one date row to another and its crews and loads move together.
  • Reorder jobs by dragging cards up or down within a date row; reorder crews within a job the same way. Order sets the sequence on printed sheets. It saves automatically.
TipActing on several loads at once? Click to select, Ctrl+click (Cmd on Mac) to multi-select, or check a date row to select everything for that day.
