Scheduling
Scheduling in Digital Dispatch is built around drag-and-drop. You can add projects to dates, move loads between days, and reorder your dispatch board — all by dragging cards where you want them.
Adding a project to a date
When a project needs work on a specific day, you can add it to that date in 2 ways:
Drag from the Projects panel
- Open the Projects panel on the right side of the screen
- Find the project you want to schedule (use the search bar to filter)
- Drag the project onto the target date row
If the project has a saved dispatch template, Offload asks whether to apply the template automatically. This pre-fills crew assignments and equipment requirements based on your saved pattern.
Use the Add Project modal
- Click the + button on a date row
- Search for and select the project
- Confirm to add the project to that date
Rescheduling loads
To move a load to a different date:
- In Load Cards or Crew Board view, find the load card you want to move
- Drag the load card to the target date row
- Drop it to confirm the reschedule
The load keeps its existing resource assignments when you move it. If the assigned driver or truck has a conflict on the new date, you’ll see a warning.
Moving projects between dates
You can move an entire project (with all its crews and loads) to a different date:
- Drag the project card from one date row to another
- All crews and loads under that project move together
This is especially useful when weather delays or schedule changes force you to shift a full day’s work.
Reordering within a date
The order of projects and crews on a date row matters — it controls the sequence on printed dispatch sheets and the Daily Dispatch report.
Reorder projects
Drag a project card up or down within the same date row to change its position. The sort order is saved automatically.
Reorder crews
Within a project, drag crew cards up or down to change the crew order. This controls the order crews appear on the dispatch board and in printed reports.
Assigning loads to crews
In the Crew Board view, you can assign loads to specific crews:
- Drag a load card from the Projects panel (or from another crew)
- Drop it onto the target crew card
- The load is now assigned to that crew’s driver and truck
Selecting loads
Click a load card to select it and view its details. You can also:
- Multi-select — Hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) and click multiple load cards
- Date select — Check the checkbox on a date row to select all loads for that date
