Digital Dispatch

Digital Dispatch is your command center for planning the day: the board where jobs, loads, site work, and resources come together, one date row at a time.

How it works

A typical day on the board moves through these steps:

   Open the board

   Go to Dispatch, set your date range, and filter by branch so you see only the locations you work.
2. 2

   Schedule the work

   Drag loads, jobs, and site work phases from the Job Details panel onto dates. Move work between days as plans change.
3. 3

   Fill the crew slots

   Drag drivers, trucks, trailers, and equipment from the Resources rail onto crew slots and loads.
4. 4

   Get it to the field

   Print the day's dispatch sheet, or publish the day to notify your drivers directly (currently in beta).

Key concepts

• Loads are individual shipments that need to move from origin to destination.
• Jobs (projects) group related loads and carry the customer. See Projects.
• Site work phases are on-site work stages with crew and equipment requirements. They are defined on the job (Site work) and scheduled and fulfilled here.
• Crews pair a driver and a truck on a date, inside a job's card.
• Resources are the people and equipment you schedule, kept in Resources.

The board

The board shows your date range as rows, with a card for each job scheduled that day. Crew cards live inside each job card. The Resources rail is on the left; the Job Details panel is on the right.

Scheduling

Scheduling is drag-and-drop: drag jobs, loads, and site work phases onto dates, move them between days, and reorder cards to set the printed sequence. Scheduled site work arrives with its crew slots pre-created from the phase's requirements.

Resource assignment

Resources are assigned from the Resources rail by drag-and-drop. Crew slots show what the phase requires, so filling them is matching people and equipment to typed slots.

Equipment planning

Site work tracks equipment by presence: what a phase needs on site each day, what mob and demob loads bring in and out, and where the gaps are. See Equipment planning.

Publish the day

Publishing broadcasts a date's plan to the people on it and saves per-branch day notes. Date headers show a publish-state chip per branch.

Print and export

Print a day's dispatch sheet straight from its date row, organized by crew or by load. See Printing & exporting.
